Privacy notice
Nidwell is a private journal for one family. This notice says what the app and the servers hold, who can read it and what you can do about it.
What stays on your phone
Everything you log is saved on the phone first, so the app works without internet. Reminders and exports are made on the phone. Names, photos, notes, memories, dates of birth and the times of entries never leave it unsealed.
What reaches our servers
Sealed records. Each record is encrypted on the phone before it leaves it. Our servers keep the sealed record and cannot read what is inside.
Device keys. The public keys of the phones in your nest, so a new phone can be paired and a lost one removed.
Membership. Who belongs to the nest and with which rights, so a grandparent can see memories without seeing health records.
Photos. Photos are encrypted on the phone as well, and are removed from our storage when you delete them.
Who can see it
Only the people you invite into the nest, with the rights you give them. There is no public feed and no strangers. We do not sell your data and we do not show advertising.
The cloud assistant and voice entry
The assistant and voice entry work in the cloud and are off until you turn them on in Settings. Each question is sent only after you have seen what would be sent and said yes. A question goes without names, e-mail addresses, links and long numbers, together with your child's age in months and a few plain lines about the last 24 hours. Voice entry sends your recording, or the words you typed, and the time on your phone. Nidwell keeps no copy of a question, a recording or an answer. With the switch off, no server reads your data.
Who processes data for us
Apple and Google. The App Store and Google Play handle your purchase, your payment details and refunds. We never see your card.
RevenueCat. Confirms Plus purchases between the store and Nidwell, using an anonymous identifier for your nest.
Google (Gemini). Works out the assistant's answers and voice entry, only when you have turned the cloud on and approved the question.
E-mail and push services. Deliver the sign-in code to your address, and reminders and notices through Apple's and Google's push services.
How long we keep it
While the nest exists. Sealed records, photos, device keys and membership stay until you delete them or the nest.
After you delete. A record you delete leaves a marker for up to 90 days, so phones that were offline learn about it; then the marker is purged. Accounts left without a nest are removed after 30 days.
Health information
Nidwell records what your pediatrician advised and reminds you of it. It does not give medical advice and it never suggests a dose. Health records are sealed on the phone like every other record.
Children
Nidwell is for parents, grandparents and caregivers, not for children. A child's records are entered and controlled by an adult of the family, who decides who sees them. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete what we hold about you, object to how we use it and withdraw consent you gave. Most of this is in the app, in Privacy. For the rest write to office@ainovaty.com. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live; in Serbia that is the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.
Your choices
Export. Take everything with you as a file or a PDF, any time.
Delete. Remove one child, your profile or the whole nest from inside the app. See Delete your data. If the app is gone, use Request deletion.
Questions. Write to office@ainovaty.com and we will answer.
Changes to this notice
If we change what we hold or why, we will say so in the app before the change applies.
